Spreader/Feeder

The FeedFaster is a proven approach to the feeding of large and medium size pieces, such as sheets and table tops into a flatwork ironer at high speeds.

It reduces the labor factor as well as increases production, at the same time maintaining a high level of quality.

The linen to be processed is placed on the feed ribbons of the ironer in the normal feeding manner. The FeedFaster then takes over by spreading, straightening and squaring the linen as it enters the ironer. Since the FeedFaster has taken over, this allows the operators to quickly release the linen and reach for the next piece while the one already fed is still entering the ironer.

The FeedFaster does its spreading and straightening by an extremely simple, ingenious system of a down-draft, or suction air, similar to the flapping of a wet flag in a strong breeze, or hand-shaking rather than simple tensions which cannot spread or straighten wrinkles in the direction of travel.

The FeedFaster takes up only 10" in front of the ironer and small pieces can be fed over the unit without disturbing the set-up, or the unit may easily be moved since it is mounted on casters.
